The Dark Ages

I don't want anyone to think I'm picking on men, but the truth be told, there are some men still stuck in the dark ages. Hard to believe but some men still want women to stay at home, barefoot and pregnant. Cooking and cleaning, making the house comfortable for "the man". Expecting dinner to be ready when they get home, because they work sooo hard. When in fact they don't really do much of anything all day, it's the woman who works sooo hard all day and still has to wait hand and foot on the man. I guess they forgot about woman's lib. or just don't want the woman to remember, or realize what has become of their lives. What happened to their dreams? Men are crushing them in a way that we do not realize it's happening. It makes me angry that it's still happening in the year 2007. If you know anybody like that, tell them what year it is or better yet, tell the woman to wake up and get a life of their own.

Roadtrip

I am currently living in Indio, most people don't even know where that is. The reason is because it's so far out, and not much to speak of. But I'm planning an escape. I'm not really sure where I want to go but I'm going to have fun. I don't have much money and thats part of the fun. I'll have to be creative in how to survive. Any tips or suggestions are welcome. I've never done anything like this before, but I've had enough of the way my life is heading. I've been told what I can or cannot do for too long, it's time to take control of my own life. If anyone feels the same, give me a "you go girl"! I'm 48, raised three boys, and been in a disasterous relationship for too long. I say "no more" and am ready to leave it all behind. Well thats whats on my mind today, hope you enjoyed it!

The Job Search

Yet, another day of job searching. It seems as though I fax, and I e-mail, and still nothing. I even have temp. agencies looking for me and still nothing. It's really dry out there right now ( in the desert) Ha Ha! I'm not used to the way it is out here, all we have are Country Clubs, Casinos, and high dollars stores. I came from L.A./ Orange Co. , I love the fast paced city, it seems like everyone is in slow motion out here. First chance I get I'm going back to the city. I love the beach and the buildings, even the traffic looks good now. Needless to say I'm not happy out here. But chin up I'm going to find a way to live my life the way I want it to be! It's not only a job hunt, but a life hunt. We'll just see what's around the next corner.
